I am very impressed with the January 2016 Bag. The curation is excellent and had me really excited. The personal touch this time went beyond the bag. I had forgotten whether my subscription ended in December '15 of January '16. So I called their number and the team immediately sent me a link to renew my subscription and sent me a link to choose my favourite Sugar Matte as Hell Crayon Lipstick. However the link that came in the mail, took me a page where there were many things to choose from, but no lip crayon. o confirm whether I had been able to register my choice, Team FabBag called me back and personally registered by choice. I am floored!

Verdict on the Bag: Great, value wise. 3 full sized products! Wow!

What's in My Fabbag: October 2015 Edition

Last month's Fabbag was quite nice with some lovely samples. Lets see if this month's bag can match up...

Nyassa Tiramisu Body Scrub

It smells so yummy,that I might have eaten it had I not known it was a scrub. The product has really soft particles and I'm dying to try it out. Watch out for the review.

Spa Ceylon White Jasmine Facial Masque

My! The product sounds to luxurious! I haven't yet opened its sealed top (want to finish my

 earlier masque, since I'm afraid it may dry up before I've really had the chance to use it properly), but I'm absolutely certain I'm going to love the product!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion

Known for its rich products mainly catering the dry to very dry skin, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion in the October Bad is a godsend. With temperatures set to dip in the city, the air is much drier and I can feel the pull on my skin after a bath. So This is going to be a really great product to use after a shower, to restore moisture and oils on the skin surface.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in Heat

This was the Item of choice that came in my bag. There were lipsticks, eye-shadows and eye-pencils (I think) to chose from and I selected this blush. Its texture is a bit thick and a little goes a long way. Watch out for the review....

Day #1 in the 7Days 7Eyes Challenge with Sugar Eye Told You So Waterproof Eye Liner

Hi Everyone!

FabBag announced a contest about creating different eye looks using Sugar Eye Told You So Waterproof Eye Liner. So I thought why not make it a bit more challenging for myself.  Then was born the 7Days 7Eyes Challenge.

What's new on Day #1?

The Meenakshi (the fish-eyed one) look...

It is a very easy to create look. Choose your favourite eyeshadow palette. I have chosen Makeup Revolution London Eye shadow palette in Redemption Essential Shimmers.  Make sure the shades are more towards the neutral end of the spectrum. The liner is the prima donna, you can't overshadow her with too dark shades...

Once you have shadowed your eyes, tightline the Sugar Eye Told You So Waterproof Eye Liner along your upper lash line. Apply a black kohl along your lower water line. I have used Florelle Kohl in black. 

From the outer corner of the eye take a stroke down from the upper lash and a stroke up from the lower lash to form a horizontal V.

Dot between the two lines of the V and there you are!

My Fabbag June 2015

This month's Fabbag post got a bit delayed. Internet issues..... In fact you will see that the quality of the photo uploads has suffered as well. So what I will do for this post is that I will include a brief write up of the products as well.

 The June Bag is not shaped like regular pouches. Its more like a cuboid shape. My brother quite liked the bag. So, I've given him the bag for his traveling needs.

This is a Professional range of Nail laquers that gives rich coverage in just one coat.

Fab Tip: Always use a base coat, two coats of polish and a top coat.

This colour is quite of the bridal variety, so I'm not sure I want to apply it on a regular basis. I'll save it for parties and weddings..

Ananda Light Moisturiser  for Oily Skin

Product Size in Bag: It is not mentioned on the jar, but I guess it is around 10 gms.

Every day Luxe. Show your skin some love with this rich facial cream that's infused with relaxing and aromatic herbs. It relaxes dull and stressed skin while moisturising it. Protects skin from environmental aggressors, leaving it soft, supple and rejuvinated.

Fab Tip: On thoroughly cleansed skin, dot the cream over entire face and neck. Spread it in upward motion.

The cream smells heavenly and is meant for oily skin. Really looking forward to using it!

Votre Fresh Cooling Sun Protection Mist SPF 25

This sunscreen facial mist is an active blend of natural botanical herbs and minerals that leave skin balanced, glowing and noticeably softer

Fab Tip: Spray the mist on face and neck. Leave it till it dries completely.

It's an interesting product a spray on sunscreen mist. Looking forward to trying it!

All Good Scents Perfume - Rockstar

Product Review: Laqa & Co. Fat Lip Pencil in Siren Song

How have you all been? The weather is really turning now and summer isn't too far away.

I will be doing a quick review of the Laqa & Co. Fat Lip Pencil in Siren Song.

The product came in the January 2015 Edition of FabBag.

Product Claim:

Formulated with a blend of oils and healing vitamin E, the pencil provides lasting moisture in addition to a glossy finish. The smooth buttery texture coats lips in stunning, glossy color and comes in a handy jumbo pencil that needs no sharpener.
How to use:Starting at the center of your top lip, sweep outward in each direction. Repeat on bottom lip. No need to sharpen: As the pencil wears down, simply twist the bottom to release more.
Product Price: INR 800/- for 3 gms of product.

My Take on the Product:

Laqa & Co. Fat Lip Pencil is another edition of Lip Crayons that have flooded the market in recent times. It comes in a white, plastic twist-up packging, accented with the colour of the lip crayon. It has a transparent cap which makes it easy for you to identify the colour. The product comes in 4 shades, of which,I chose Siren Song.

Siren Song is a bright Brick Red colour with yellow undertones. It will suit fair to medium wheatish complexion. Its a wearable red  for Indian skin-tones. 

On application, you need a few swipes to get the true colour. The application is not butter-smooth and tends to remain patchy if you are not too careful. The product is not very moisturising and it tends to stick to the dry bits on the lips. It did play up the creases on my lips. Ideally you should scrub your lips and moisturise them before application. It has a creamy finish on application, but soon settles into a more matte look.

The product perhaps contains peppermint because I felt a cooling sensation and a minty smell on application. However. It disappears in about 10 minutes. I don't really care about the peppermint, but that is not a deal breaker.

The product is transferable and did stain my coffee cup. However, to be fair, the product did not clain to be transfer proof. The product lasted on my lips for about 4 hrs with some light snacking and drinking.

Pros:

1. Nice wearable red
2. Transparent cap and colour accent on packaging helps identify colour.
3. Twist up packaging means no sharpening and no wastage of product.

Cons:

1. Does not come through on the promise of being moisturising. 
2. Product tends to stick to dry bits on lips.
3. Settles in the creases of the lips.
4. A bit steep considering it does not do much for the lips.

Overall Verdict: 3/5

I was not too happy with this product and I feel its a bit overpriced. It does not quite fulfill its claim of being moisturising for the lips. There are better products in the market than this one. However, all being said, the colour is really nice.

What I Liked in the Bag:

I loved all the products in the bag this month except for the lipstick. The product itself is great but the colour selection for me was absolutely wrong! Usually Fabbag gets it spot on, but this time the lipstick shade is too light for my skin tone and makes me look washed out and ashy. :(

But all in all, a great way to end the year!

I was most excited about the SeaSoul CC Cream. I am trying this product out at the moment and a review will follow soon.
