July/August 2018 Empties

Hey All!

Its been a while since I have done an empties post. So you can see I have accumulated quite a few empties. So here goes.....

Himalaya Herbal's Purifying Neem Pack is an absolute favourite! It is great for my oily, acne-prone skin. In fact if I got a pimple,  I'd dab a bit of the pack on the zit and it would dry out pretty quickly! I'm getting another tube...

Avon Anew Clinical Pro Line Corrector is a nice serum. It is meant for more mature skin, but it suited me well. It did not break me out. So that was a plus. The pump dispenser pushes just enough for the face and neck. Great stuff! Will I buy it again? Well, not immediately, since i have a bunch of other serum's too.....

Clean and Clear's Morning Energy Face Wash needs no review. One of the best budget face washes for oily, acne-prone skin. Its a regular in my bathroom cabinet!

Kama Ayurveda is one of my favourite brands! The Sugandhi Body oil is an excellent massage oil for the winters. This gold coloured concoction is a great skin conditioner. It's a staple in my winter body care routine. A must buy!

Just Herbs Lively Clean Face Cleansing Gel is an absolute must in the Combination-Oily skin arsenal. It gently exfoliates the skin without irritating it or leaving it red. It is gentle enough to be used every alternate day. Another staple in my skin care routine.

Sattvik Saffrom Care Mattifying Day Cream was an ok product I used. It had a feeling like a 'vanishing cream'. It left my skin feeling caked and clogged. So, honestly, This is not quite empty. I used it for a week, but it did nothing for me.

Sattvik Sun Ban Remedy for Sun Tan Removal Cream was much like the Day cream. I did not enjoy using it. It left my oily skin feeling dehydrated. So obviously its not going to find a place in my beauty regime any more.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream is an absolute favourite. It left the delicate areas around my eyes feeling hydrated and moisturised. Its formula is gentle and did not irritate my sensitive eyes at all. Best of all, it is a cruelty free brand.

Ananda Aloe Gel And Rose Distillate Hydrating Mask was an absolute delight! I kept it in the fridge and after every clay ask treatment, I slathered on this cooling, hydrating mask as the next stage. It feels so light and hydrating and helpes condition the skin after a scrub and a mattifying clay mask. Highly recommended!

Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion is an all-time favourite. Its non-oily and never broke me out. Absolutely love, love, love!

Tvakh Vitamin C Exfoliating Water was a interesting product. I used it like a toner and I do think that it helped reduce my breakouts. And that's something! I'm definitely buying again!

I have loved using the Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti Fatigue Moisture Cream! Once applied it makes your skin sweat a bit, I guess that's how it helps with the detox. It helped hydrate my skin without making it oily (once I blotted out the beads of perspiration).  Definitely a candidate for repurchase!

The Suganda Neem Green Tea Plant Mask was a dry powder which I mixed with some rosewater to make a paste. I loved using this product. It helped soak up excess oil on my skin. I actually used this every other day during the humid weather.

Vichy Ideal White Brightening Deep Cleansing Foam was another product I enjoyed using. It really cleaned up my oily skin without making me feel stretchy. Definitely a product worth purchasing again!

Have you used any of these products? Did you like them? Let me know in the comments section below.

What's in My FabBag? November 2016 Edition

Hi Everyone!

The November FabBag is FAB!!

Now that That is out of the way, let me show you why I am loving this month's Fab Bag.

City Color Be Matte Lipstick in Francesca (M21)
Product Price: INR 500/- for
Sample Size in Bag: Full Size

This was a the member selection item. There were a number of shades to choose from. With the onset of winter, I decided to choose this deep wine shade. Absolutely loving it. Watch out for a more detailed review.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate
Product Price: INR 2895/- for 30 ml
Sample Size in Bag: 7ml

Perhaps the most exciting product in the Bag! I have been eyeing this since it was launched, but the price tag sort of put me out. Now that FabBag has sent me a sample, I can test it out to see if its worth buying. There is a 10% discount coupon redeemable at any Body Shop Exclusive outlet. The offer is valid till November 30th 2016.

Just Herbs Aloe Vera Facial Massage Gel
Product Price: INR 445/- for 100 gms
Sample Size in Bag: 50 gms

A very timely product in my Bag! I like to add a facial massage to my bi-weekly home-facial routine. And I had been planning to buy it after I had used a sample that had come in the FabBag sometime last year. I am loving the generous sample size in this time round!

Natural Bath and Body Body Mist: Beautiful Day
Product Price: INR 325/- for 200ml
Sample Size in Bag: 50 ml

I must admit this did not make me jump up in glee and say 'Yippeee', but the herby-smelling body mist does not disappoint either. Ok, but not GREAT...

So, 3 out of 4 HITs is a big deal!

Value of November Bag: INR 1480/- approx. A great deal, I would say, if you spend around INR 499/- for the Bag.

My Verdict: Book your Bag right away!

August 2016 Edition of the FabBag

Hi Everyone!

This time round I have tried to be punctual in giving you an update on my new FabBag for August 2016.

This month the FabBag theme is "What the Chic". The products in this month's bag cater to skin care, hair care and makeup. Regular subscribers were allowed to choose a makeup product from Geri G. You could chose from foundations, concealers and a mineral blush and eyeshadow duo.

I think its not easy to pick up foundations and concealers from websites unless you are really familiar with the shades. So I decided to pick up the Geri G. Bending Cheek and Eye Duo.

This Month's Bag itself is black with pink accents. Looks quite smart, I think...

Geri G. Blending Cheek and Eye Duo
Product Price: INR 2500/- for 3 gems

Just Herbs Kumuda - Sacred Lotus Rejuvenating Body Wash
Product Price: INR 545/- for 200 ml

Livon Serum
Product Price: INR 215/- for 100 ml
Sample Size in Bag: 3 ml x 3 sachets

Gift Voucher from AEOM COUTURE

I am loving this month's Bag! Its a head-to-toe bag catering to hair care, body care and a dash of makeup! The Geri G. Blending Powder Cheek/Eye Duo was a customer choice from among foundations, concealers and ..... I wasn't sure of the shades so I decided to pick up the blending powder. I have been using it for about two weeks and its already become a staple!

The Natural Bath and Body Gel Face Masque is promising too. I've used it a couple of times. I'll do a review of the product soon.

The Body wash and Hair Oil are nice too!

Total Value of Bag: INR 3000/-. A brilliant deal, if you ask me!

Overall Verdict: Go For It!!

What's in My FabBag: February 2016 Edition

Hi Everyone!

February being the month of love, FabBag has planned a valentine's bag this time round. The glossy red pouch goes with the theme. This month's bag has 6 products of which 3 are full sized packs. However, I did miss the tiny magazine, Fab Post with this Bag. I saw the reviews and pictures by other bloggers, and no one else seems to have received one either! I really miss it because it had all the details of the products featured for the month, discount codes and various beauty tricks and tips.

Team FabBag, please bring back Fab Post!

Watch the video below for further thoughts...

Hikari Cosmetics Blush in Harvest
Product Price: INR 1000/-
Sample Size in Bag: Full Size

Fashionography Earrings
Product Price: N.A.
Exactly same as last month's bag, left me with a couple of ???

Bioderma Photoderm Mat Sunscreen SPF 30
Product Price: INR 1330/- for 40 ml
Sample Size on Bag: 5ml

Nyassa Foaming Face Scrub - Oceana
Product Price: INR 600/- for 200 gm
Sample size in Bag: 30 gms

Chamki Nail Polish in Begum
Product Price: INR 250/- for 11 ml
Sample Size in Bag: Full Size

Just Herbs Marigold Mango Lip Contour Balm
Product price: INR 345/- for 8 gms
Sample Size in Bag: Full Size

Overall Verdict: I liked 4 out of the 6 products sent this month, so it isn't that bad. The Blush , scrub and the lip balm are great. The Bioderma sunscreen along with these products did offset the disappointment with the nail polish and the repeat earring.

Value of this Bag: INR 1770/- (approx.) as against my cost of INR 416/- (I have an annual subscription)

This time the theme of the bag is 'Organic'. All the brands represented in the October 2014 Fabbag are organic and free of parabens and sulfates.

I was most excited about the SeaSoul CC Cream. I am trying this product out at the moment and a review will follow soon.
