February 2017 Edition: My Envy Box

Hi All!

I seem to be running behind all the time! This post was due at least 10 days ago and here I am burning the midnight oil trying to get it ready to be published.

It does not help to complain, does it? So let's just get started....

I am loving the pattern on the box this month. The theme is Indo-French beauty and the box design reflects the thought. So you have the shimmering Eiffel Tower representing France and India's national flower lotus sharing space.

There are four products in the Box this time from L'Oreal Paris (product made in India), Votre (again made in India, but with a Frenchified name), Avene (made in France)and Gulnare (very Indian).

L'Oreal Paris Kajal Magique Bold

Product Price: INR 350/- for 0.35 gms

Sample Size in Box: Full Size

Well, OK. I had not like the regular Kajal Magique. I hope this one is an improvement.

Gulnare Gold Dust Highlighter

Product Price: INR 950/- for 20 gms

Sample Size in Bag: Full Size

I've quite liked the stain it left on my finger tips when I lightly brushed my finger against the product. I haven't tried it on my face though. Do watch out for a review in a bit.

Avene Micellar Lotion

Product Price: INR 1200/- for 200 ml

Sample Size in Bag: 20ml

I'm a fan of micellar waters and I'm quite happy to get this product in my bag. It should last me about 10 uses. then I can use the little bottle as a refill when I'm travelling. 

Votre Face Serum

Product Price: 1670/- for 12ml

Sample Size in Box: Full Size

Hmmm. I've used this face serum before and it did not do much for me, though some beauty bloggers had loved the product. 

Value of Box: INR 3070/-. Really good deal if you have paid only INR 850/- for a month's box!

Overall Verdict: There are 3 full sized products in a box of 4, so that is definitely generous! However, for me, personally, the Box did not have me jump with excitement. Though i am truly curious about the Gulnare Highlighter. But if you like the products you should definitely go for it, its more than your money's worth!

What's in My FabBag? February 2017 Edition

Well, you all know how much I love FabBag. This month I have another reason to do so. The Sugar Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick that I chose for this month's bag, arrived with a broken applicator. I wrote back to them and I was sent a replacement within 48 hrs!

Though I have heard a great deal about dry shampoos, I have never tried one. So I'm glad to get one in my Bag. I'll let you know in a bit how This product fares on me.

Just Herbs Livelyclean Honey Exfoliating Face Cleansing Gel

Product price: INR 230/- for 50ml

I have always liked Just Herbs face cleansers. They really clean the the face without leaving it feeling dry and stretched. I'm happy that this product is part of the Feb FabBag!

Matra Holistic Lip Care Balm

Product Price: INR 199/- for 4.5 gms

Sample Size in Bag: Full Size

I love Lip Balms and use them the whole year round. So this is a welcome product too!

Sugar Smudge Me not Liquid Lipstick - 05 Rust Lust

I have been enjoying using Sugar products. I have used the new liquid lipstick and so far, I think I like the product. A more detailed review will follow.

Total Value of Bag: INR 1227/-. Decent Value for money if you are going to pay INR 416-599/- (depending on your subscription)

My Verdict: Isn't one of the best Bags, but still worth the money!

January 2017 Empties Post

Hello Everyone!

I have not done an Empties post in a long while. So here goes 2017's first empties. 

SeaSoulDead Sea Facial Mud Mask

This product came to me in one of the FabBags. I have loved using it! Dead Sea soil is known for its beauty properties. My skin always felt refreshed after using this mud mask, especially in the humid months. An excellent product.

Johnson and Johnson's Retin-Ox Correxion Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Serum

I do not have a lot of wrinkles, so I can't comment  on its efficacy. But it definitely did help on days that my skin felt particularly dehydrated. But I do not think I will buy this INR 2000/- product. Not worth it.

Kama Ayurveda Mridul Soap-free Face Cleanser

This is an all natural product, more like a scrub. I did not try cleaning make up with it at the end of the day, but used it as a morning cleanser.  It really refreshed me before I got ready for work.

Biotique Bio Almond Soothing and Nourishing Eye Cream

I have absolutely loved this product! It absorbs into the skin quickly and it never irritated my eyes. 

Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water

This is one of the gentler micellar waters around. It did not really take out all the makeup, but on days I stayed in and did not use any makeup, I used this product to clean off before applying my favourite serum. I absolutely loved the rose fragrance of the product.
