My Take on the Product:

With more brands jumping into the Lip Crayon bandwagon, L'Oreal Paris introduced their Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in 4 shades last year. It is, as far as I know, the cheapest product of its class. Usually This brand's products are pricier, so this comes as a pleasant surprise!

The retractable crayon comes in a plastic shell of the same colour as the product pigment, with a silver colour cap. The retractable packaging is a great positive because there is no product wastage with sharpening. It comes in four shades with two shades on the lighter side and two with darker pigments. I chose #909 Pomegranate Punch which is a reddish berry pink.

It has decent pigmentation. It can be used for a sheer colour effect and can be built up for a deeper colour pay-off. It has tiny pink shimmer particles. The shimmer is not overwhelming, but it does feel slightly gritty when I rub my lips after a fresh application. But its not a deal breaker. The product does not settle in the creases and is fairly moisturising. The colour is not very long-lasting. It last for about 2-3 hrs on my lips. The formulation is good and spreads evenly over the lips. However in the photos below my lower lips were a bit chapped when I took them, so the application might look a bit uneven.

 Pros:
  1. Great price point
  2. Retractable Packaging prevents product wastage.
  3. Balm-like smooth application.
  4. Moisturising
  5. Good pigments
  6. Light-weight on lips
  7. Decent wear time
  8. Fine shimmer, does not overwhelm.
Cons:
  1. Shimmer can be finer
  2. Should add more shades.
Overall Verdict: 4.5/5

Its a great product at this price point.I find myself reaching out to this more often.
