Perhaps the most exciting product in the Bag! I have been eyeing this since it was launched, but the price tag sort of put me out. A very timely product in my Bag! I like to add a facial massage to my bi-weekly home-facial routine. And I had been planning to buy it after I had used a sample that had come in the FabBag sometime last year. I am loving the generous sample size in this time round!

I must admit this did not make me jump up in glee and say 'Yippeee', but the herby-smelling body mist does not disappoint either. Ok, but not GREAT...

So, 3 out of 4 HITs is a big deal!

Unboxing My Envy Box October 2016

Hi All!!

Happy Diwali!!

My Envy Box turned THREE this October. Anniversary editions of subscription boxes always have a buzz and we subscribers look forwards to specially curated Anniversary Boxes. So did My Envy Box live up to its hype on its 3rd Anniversary? Let's find out!

So a total of 8 products in the October Box, instead of the standard 5 products. I wouldn't say its a mind-blowing Box, but its definitely generous. The Vichy, Forest Essentials and the Ayca body wash samples are decent sized. Three of the products are full sized. The curation is nice too, a mix of make up and skin and hair care products.  The only disappointing product in the Box is the nail art sticker set. Its not the kind of nail art I enjoy, but that's only a personal preference. 

Approximate Value of the October Box: INR 3500+. A great deal if you have paid only INR 850/- for the box!

The Fab Bag update for this month would have come sooner but for a bout of flu that I am recovering from. So lets just have a quick look at this month's Bag before the month runs out!

Well, to be honest, I have mixed feelings about the Bag this month. I'm not exactly ecstatic about the October FabBag, but I do not completely hate it either. I' definitely looking forward to using the Kaya Serum and the Veda Earth Cleansing facial oil. The Geri G. Lip Gloss has a nice texture, but the colour washes me out, so its going out to a friend who will carry it off better than me. The Stay Quirky nail polish has a dull gold colour, so I'm definitely using this product.

Decent deal since I paid INR 499/- for this Bag.

So would I recommend the October Bag? I'm not crazy about it, but you can order it if you liked the section.

What's In My FabBag: September 2016 Edition

Hi Everyone!

This month, I really did have to wait for my FabBag. I did get a mail from the crew informing me that the delay was due to the late delivery of the Sugar Mascara. But anyway, the Bag did arrive today, the last day of September. 

Was the wait worth it? Let's find out.....

This month's theme was 'Eye Feel Pretty'. The Bag itself is quite interesting. The  front of the bag, as you can see, accepts the fact that life is not always perfect...

However, on the reverse side it celebrates he perfection of eye lashes......

This product was included in the bag since the the bonus accessory that I had selected, apparently did not fulfill quality standards of FabBag. I am not complaining!

Neemli Tulsi and Sandalwood Body Wrap

Neemli is quite a new kid on the block. I've been getting their samples quite regularly in both FabBag and My Envy Box. I'm looking forward to trying this product out.

SaND Deadly Face Mask

I'm quite fond of SaND products. They are free of preservatives and other nasties. I love the "deadly" name of the product. Its is named so because it contains Dead Sea Mud.

Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus All Smooth Foundation  with SPF 15 (03 VF-G)

Sample Size in Bag: 1.5ml x 8 sachets

I like Clinique Foundations, however this particular product is meant for Very dry to dry combination skin. Now I have combination skin which is towards the oily side. So I'm going to try this only in winters, when my skin is drier...

Sugar Lash Mob Limitless Mascara(01 Black with a Bang)

Product Price: INR 699/- for 9ml

This was my choice product for my Bag, which delayed its delivery. I chose it from among other Sugar Eye products, especially their kohls. Other choice products included eyeshadow palettes  from C.A.L Los Angeles and Be A Bombshell eye shadow crayons. I'm really looking forward to trying the mascara. Watch out for the review!

As an apology for the delay, SUGAR has sent a discount coupon for Flat INR 200/- off for the next purchase on Sugar's website. I'm definitely using it!

Overall Value: A bit over INR 1499/-, not a bad deal when you pay 599/- for the Bag

Verdict: Good product selection and goodwill building with the Sugar Gift Voucher!

This is such a thoughtful addition to the box! We all need supplements, whatever diet plan we may follow. In any case, hair and nails are the last ones to receive the nutrients we ingest, therefore health of hair and nails is a fairly good indicator of health and wellness. It has number of micro-nutrients required by our body to maintain good health.

C.A.L Detail Me Mascara

Product Price: INR 450/- for 12 ml

Sample Size in Box: Full Size

I absolutely love the mascara! It really does dive my lashes a decent curl. In fact the formula helps in lengthening the lashes too! Its water resistant but cleans up pretty easily.

C.A.L Lip Gloss in Perky Pink

Product Price: INR 450/- for 10 ml

Its called a lipgloss but is actually a liquid lipstick which dries into a lovely matte finish. I like the fuchsia pink colour and it should most Indian skin tones.

Ma Earth Botanicals Rose Facial Scrub

Sample size in Box: 40 gms

I just loved the packaging of the product. The product itself looks really luxe. Waiting to try it out! keep a lookout for a detailed review.

Value of My Envy Box: More than INR 1600/-. Which is a good deal considering that you pay only INR 850/- for a month's box.

Overall Thoughts: I really do like this month's box, a lot! Really good curation. Go ahead and buy for yourself or as a gift!

First Impressions: The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

Its been a while since I made a YouTube video. I recently bought The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil as part of a mini haul from the Brand's website. This product has been around for a couple of years, but I didn't pick it up thinking how can my already oily skin benefit from pumping in more oil into it. But as I read reviews and watched videos, I got more curious about the product.

August 2016 Empties Post

Hello Everyone!

Its been a long while since I've done an empties post. Life has been a series of  running-around-like-a-headless-chicken moments! But I am happy to inform you that I have been going through a whole bunch of stuff faster than I am buying things.

For this month I have a mix of skin-care, make up and hair-care empties.

Bioderma is fast becoming my favourite skin-care brand. I received this sample size tube of Photoderm AKN Matt SPF 30 in one of the subscription boxes. I have found it to be an excellent product. It was moisturising and mattifying at the same time. I'm buying the fullsize product as soon as I am done with my other sun screens. If you are planning to buy one and you are as oily skinned as I am, this is what you should go for. Suitable for sensitive skin.

This Roots Professional MorocVita Argan Oil was again a sample in a subscription box. I have absolutely loved this product! Everyone knows the benefits of argan oil and this product is enriched with argan oil from Morocco. It gave my hair a sleek and shiny finish. I even used this on my daughters' hair and it is such a godsend! There were no struggles with tangled hair while getting ready for school in the morning! The girls decided we needed the full size bottle !

The Himalaya Baby Cream is such a staple in my home. Of course the kids use it. But it is my go-to as well for chapped hands and rough elbows. This cream will always have a place in my vanity!

The Oriflame Powershine Lipstick in Cocoa Burst has been a favourite. Its a rare lipstick that I have used up completely! The shade looked more brown in the tube, but on application it had a maroon undertone. The tiny shimmer particles in the lipstick gave the creamy, moisturising texture that extra kick. Sadly Oriflame does not carry this shade any more......

Avon's Touch by Black Suede is actually a men's fragrance, but not overpoweringly so. I liked using this roll-on deo. It has a soft musk smell with a hint of citrus. The product dried up immediately after application and there was no sticky after-feel. Good stuff!

Ayorma is a nice aromatherapy, ayurveda brand which had come out with some really nice skin care products. One of them is this face wash with spa oils. My oily face felt squeaky clean, but not stretchy after washing with this product. Best part? No parabens..... It is definitely a full size buy worthy!
