Summer Skin Care with Deyga Organics

 With summer having arrived, it's time to switch up your skin care routine a little bit. Temperatures are rising and the air around us is drier and tanning sunburn may become more common. So I have been trying out 3 lovely products from Deyga Organics

Let us talk a little about these three beauties.

Rose and Mulethi Skin Brightening Face Pack

It comes in a simple packaging of a round plastic jar. The artwork is is pretty and minimalistic. The product itself comes in a dry powder form. Let me list the ingredients in the facepack:

It is very easy to apply, just mix with milk or rose water to make a paste and apply on your face and let your skin soak in the goodness of this hydrating pack! This pack is suitable for all skin types. Since this is not a clay based product, it does not dry out the skin at all! My skin felt cooler as I applied the pack and loved the gentle exfoliation as I washed it off while gently

 

Pre monsoon summers in Delhi can be very dry and despite the high temperatures, often lips can get dry and chapped. The Deyga Strawberry Lip Scrub and Beetroot Lip Balm ready for the rescue!

The Strawberry Lip Scrub promises and delivers on the following points:

• Exfoliates dead skin cells
• Reduces pigmentation 
• Makes lips soft and supple
• Enhances the overall texture of lips 
• Helps in better absorption of lip balm 

It contains Avocado oil, Organic Shea Butter, Almond Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Granulated Sugar and Strawberry Essential Oil.

The last of these three beauties is the Beetroot Lip Balm. Filled with the goodness of Almond, Jojoba and Avocado Oils, Beetroot Extract and Beeswax, it soothes chapped lips and nourishes the lips.

The Lip Balm also comes in a round aluminium tin. It has a beautiful red colour and leaves a light tint in the lips.

How does green tea help?

Green tea contains a cocktail of potent antioxidants called catechins, which help fight damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals can form in your skin for a variety of reasons, including exposure to toxins. However, the most common cause of free radicals in skin cells is UV radiation from sunlight, which causes up to 90% of all signs of premature aging. Since exposure to sunlight is a major factor that ages the skin, it is reasonable to assume that products with green tea extract could help prevent premature aging.

 Green tea also contains tannins, which act as an astringent.

Its a great refreshing drink too with a long list of health benefits. Drink it hot in winters and chilled in summers with a dash of honey and lemon, and be beautiful from within!

Summer Fiesta # 1

Now that summer is surely here, I want to share with you my favourite skin care products for this season. The dry parched months of Delhi can make even the best skin cry out for help, and my skin isn't the best. I am prone to bouts of dryness, and if I apply regular moisturisers, I tend to break out. HELP!! So over time I have managed to find some really nice products which suit my combination skin.

So let me tell you about them:

My Take:
This brilliant face wash helps really clean out my skin without drying it out completely. The product contains Tea Tree and Neem extracts and using it over time, I have seen that it has reduced the occurrence of pimples on my face. Love It!!

2. Pore Shrinker! Votre Toner, Pore Shrink (100 ml for INR 360/-)

My Take:
Another Votre product I have fallen in love with!! Comes in a handy spay bottle. Just spritz it on and wait till it dries on my skin. Gives a lovely glow to my skin, especially when I spray it on before bedtime! I just love my skin the next morning!! I've even tried to spray it on over my make up, has given me great results. My Holy Grail product!!

3. Auravedic Pure Lightening Skin Polish with Sandal, Turmeric, Scrub (100g for INR 300/-)

My Take:
What I love most about this product is that its free of harmful chemicals, parabens and SLS. The scrub particles are tiny and they cleanse the skin without being too abrasive. I just love its texture and the pretty glow that I get after I've polished my skin with product. I also love the fact that it is immensely affordable. Another permanent fixture in my skin care regime, once a week!

My Take:
A feeling of pure luxury!! Even though this product is meant for drier skin, this has suited me very well! It definitely fulfills its promise of great looking and healthy skin! An absolute favourite!

If you have noticed that I have not listed a moisturiser. I have such oily skin that most products, even oil free ones cause me to break out. So currently this product doubles up as my moisturiser (due to its glycerin content).
