LOTD: Back to Work Look: Soft Smokey Eye with a Nude Lip

Hi All!

Today I'm doing another 'back to work' look. The last one was a nude eye and dark lips. This one is the opposite. The eyes are smokey, but quite soft since you are wearing it to work! The liner is kept close to the lashes and not too thick. For the lips I used not an absolute nude colour, but a light brownish colour. Lets have a look...

LOTD: Back to Work Look

Hello Everyone!

Holidays are coming to an end and we need to get back to work. We've really lived it up, partying, late nights, too much sugar... the list goes on. But now we need to look ready and well rested after this break.

I've been really enjoying the dewy look last couple of weeks, especially since the weather is dry and dehydrating. So I stuck to this finish for this 'back to work' look as well. I've kept the eyes very light to keep the focus on the well moisturised and fresh lips.

Lazy Girl's Guide: 10 Best Budget Makeup Products of 2015

Hello All!

Its the countdown to bid 2015 adieu..  So a quick round-up of 10 of my favourite Make-Up products of 2015. I love budget products so that's what I'll talk about in this post. However, they do not follow any particular order.


1. Faces Magneteyes Kajal in Black is a brilliant product. Smudge proof, soft application, and the best part, the tip does not break off!
MRP: INR 175/-

2. Maybelline The Colossal Liner (Eyeliner Pen) was another great eye product. I don't like gel liners since the applicator brush needs cleaning after every use, and i am a 'Lazy Girl'. So this Eyeliner pen was a god-send! Great and easy application even for beginners!

3. Maybelline  Volum Express Falsies Mascara Washable is another great product from the brand. It gives good volume and length to the lashes,without clumping.And I personally prefer washable eye products, mainly due to ease of cleansing.

4. Spawake Moisture Fresh BB Cream is a new addition to the BB/CC Cream market in India and is creating quite a buzz. I'm enjoying applying it too. Its quite moisturising but not too oily and I've noticed, it does not oxidise on my skin, so there is this nice soft glow on my face through the day.

5. MakeUp Revolution Eye Shadow Pallettes are quite popular this time. I have two pallettes, Redemption Hot Smoked and Iconic 2 and I have enjoyed using both pallettes immensely through this year!

6. Sugar Matt as Hell Lip Crayon has created so much buzz, and rightly so! Great matte shades that do not dry out your lips. And get you compliments!

7. Maybelline Color Show Go Graffiti Nail Polish was really fun! A great product for nail art beginners! I enjoyed using them too!

8. Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush was introduced in 2014, but it still remains my favourite blush! Available in 3 shades to suit a wide range of Indian skin tones, It has remained one of the most popular products this ear too!

9. ColorBar Deep Matte Lip Creme is a dupe for NYX Lip Butters and I absolutely adored this product. It never really became matte but settled a lovely cream finish. Another great product this year!

10. Maybelline Clean Express Total Clean MakeUp Remover was an absolute revelation! It is a bi-phased product, great for cleansing stubborn eye and lip makeup! Great stuff!!

LOTD: Monsoon Greens

Hi Everyone!

Its been a while since I did a look. The monsoon rains have turned Delhi a beautiful green. So taking inspiration from this beautiful hue Delhi is sporting, I created this simple look. I wore this look to attend a puja ceremony at  friend's house. I've kept the look as natural and homey as possible since it was a small and intimate gathering. I have used a green, shimmery eye shadow from the Make Up Revolution London eye palette. I have kept the rest of the look neutral with peachy cheeks and nude lips, to draw attention to the eyes, which are the highlight of this look.

I did not use a mascara since it was really humid and as of now I do not own a water proof mascara. Idid not want to chance any mascara meltin down my eyelashes. I do not really like using waterproof mascara because it is difficult to remove and I don't like to scrub too hard around the very delicate eye area.

If you notice, I have not used a primer either. Actually I have been testing out the Polaar Icy Magic Instant Skin Perfector. I wanted to see how it would work without a primer.
