Hey Everyone!
Towards the fag end of 2014, Colorbar launched their Deep Matte Lip Creme range. I bought it sometime in Jan and had starte work on the review, but things came up and I found this sitting in Drafts. So here it is now..
Product Claim:
Product Price: INR 675/- for 6ml of product
My Take on the Product:
Very similar to NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream/Butter, Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme comes in a silver colour carton. The product itself comes in a transparent plastic tube with a silver cap. It has a doe-foot, sponge applicator. The product formula itself is of a creamy, buttery consistency. It has excellent pigments which gives true colour in a single swipe. As for being matte, it doesn't give a true matte finish but has a creamy sheen to it after application. As of now there are 10 shades in this range from pinks, browns, a rust and a red.
The color that I picked up is called Deep Red (001). Its a nice wearable red with slightly yellow undertones. It will suit most Indian skin tones. However, you need to be careful with the application. If you apply too much product it tends to feather and bleed. The product is fairly long lasting. It lasted for about 6 hrs on me with some drinking and eating. However, the product is not transfer resistant. The product is not exactly weightless but does not feel uncomfortable. It is moisturizing and does not stick to the dry bits of the lips, unlike most matte lip products.
Pros:
So what do you think? Have you tried this lip creme? Which shades have you tried? Let me know in the comments section below..
Stay beautiful!
